Colonial era houses lined the cobblestone streets of Newport, Ri. Buildings and landmarks older than me and older than you, and even older than our great, great grandparents The windows are deep, and the rooms are musty, filled with ghosts well over two hundred years old. Wooden planks creek as we walk the same on the same thick floorboards as passer byers from the 1980's to the 1780's. Stories of the Gilded Age Elite and ghosts who met in the square for sport in the 17th and 18th centuries are told. Another time and place, different from home but the same in all its stories that Newport Carries, its sights draw inspiration for art.
